CURRENT OPENINGS


HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Are you an experienced, energetic, dependable operator who takes pride in your work? Are you self-motivated and able to perform your job with little oversight? Can you operate with skill and precision, and still meet an aggressive production schedule?

Standard Contracting, Inc. seeks positive minded operators with a can-do attitude. This position requires working in a safe and professional manner.

Must have experience in dirt/erosion control work, have a Class A CDL or the ability to get one, Health Card, CPR/First Aid certification, and an OSHA 10 certification.

LAYOUT LABORER

Are you a self-reliant, proactive and dependable person who takes pride in your work? Do you have a strong drive, and do you complete your assignments with precision?

Standard Contracting Inc. is seeking someone like you; someone who is a team player that will thrive under a little pressure, enjoy predictable and repetitive job tasks, and maintain an optimistic attitude. Work will primarily be in the greater Twin Cities metro area.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to learn, retain and follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a productive manner at a pace set by your Foreperson and Leadperson
  • TopCon experience, or experience with pump operation and groundwater management for Highway Heavy work

DEWATERING SITE TECHNICIAN (LABORER/OPERATOR)

Do you have machine repair experience? Do you have electrical experience? Are you a proficient welder? Are you an effective troubleshooter with the ability to work quickly and independently to ensure equipment is up and running to meet our production goals?

If this describes you, Standard Contracting is looking for a self-motivated, organized individual that can handle pressure and manage timelines to help oversee a large dewatering project (including but not limited to upkeep of generators, pumps, and PLC controls) in the Minneapolis area.


HIGHWAY HEAVY FOREPERSON

Are you a self-motivated, confident and decisive person? Are you a logical thinker with the drive to take charge and be proactive?

Standard Contracting Inc. seeks a resourceful leader who can handle change and pressure on projects that have deadlines and goals.  Must respond to situations and problems positively and make decisions in an objective and logical manner with little regard for emotional drama.

You are an intense, driving leader with a strong sense of urgency to get things done and are able to keep the pressure on your crew to meet your high expectations for production and completing the work in a safe and efficient manner. Work will primarily be in the greater Twin Cities metro area.

Skills and requirements include:

  • Experience and knowledge of MNDOT pay items
  • Skills in small equipment operation
  • Class A CDL license
  • Current health card
  • CPR/First Aid and OSHA 30 certifications
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specs, calculate quantities for materials, and set and read grade stakes
  • Familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office, and Apple iPad
